A special group of friends worked with Shadetree Partnership and O’Neill Regional Park to plant a California native Coast Live Oak tree in honor of a dear friend who lost his life riding his trail bike. The group planted the tree behind the three benches where their riding group traditionally takes a break. They also got approval to install a soaker pipe and added creek rocks to give the sapling a better chance of thriving in its new home.
