What a wonderful turnout we had for Saturday’s nursery event! Volunteers joined us from the Irvine Korean Parents Association Volunteer Committee, Leadership Tomorrow Alumni, National Charity League Vista Irvine, UCI Pre-Dental Society, UCI Tau Peta Pi Engineering Honor Society, UCI Community Health Alliance, UCI American Campus Communities, and UCI Bee Tree / Sustainability Resource Center. Volunteers assisted with upsizing grasses to one-gallon containers and placing them in the growing areas, upsizing tree saplings into five-gallon containers and placing them in the tree rows, relocating 15-gallon trees to Row 1, raking leaves, hand weeding, and general upkeep around the nursery.
