Volunteers from IKPAVC, UCI Pre-Dental Society, Portola High School, Pegasus Middle school, and others joined us for Saturday’s nursery event. also Tasks included propagating Tuscan Blue Rosemary cuttings to one-gallon containers and placing them in the green house, upsizing one-gallon Kangaroo Paw plants to five-gallon containers, hand weeding at the tree rows, clearing one-gallon containers with no plants from the tables, raising fallen trees in tree rows, cutting back vegetation along the chain link perimeter fence, removing dead trees in tree rows, and picking up vegetation.
In addition, volunteers from the Sustainability Resource Center Adopt A Row program also helped out at the nursery last Friday and propagated one hundred new Variegated Flax Lily plants; and 13 Troop members from Eagle Scout Troop 774G volunteered on Sunday to assemble growing tables.
