We had a terrific day at the nursery with 63 volunteers attending from the American Red Cross Club at UCI, Stanbridge University, Irvine Korean Parents Association & Volunteer Committee, National Charity League of Irvine, and students from Troy High School, Corona Del Mar High School, and Orange County School of the Arts, among other individuals. Tasks included planting new grasses grown from seeds in the greenhouse, relocating plants from the greenhouses into the growing area, weeding and pruning shrubs and trees, standing up fallen trees from past high winds and making irrigation repairs, assembling new wood propagation tables, and re-organizing and cleaning up the reception kiosk area.
