Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out this past weekend!
Representatives from the Irvine Korean Parents Association & Volunteer Committee, Girl Scouts of Orange County Troop 8534, Portola High and Westminster High School, National Charity League of Yorba Linda and Vista Irvine, and Orange County School of the Arts California Scholarship Federation were all in attendance at Saturday’s nursery event. Volunteers helped to propagate 1,200 Senecio Dwarf cuttings and 500 Coppertone Sedum cuttings to one-gallon containers, propagate 100 Kangaroo Paw plants, hand weed all tree rows and tables, re-assemble newly painted nursery carts, and place / organize 1,700 newly propagated one-gallon plants at the nursery.
Volunteers from Irvine High School’s SOL Club and the Zamora, Turcotte, and Trumble families also participated in the Adopt-a-Row Program, preparing for construction of the new greenhouse and completing various tasks around the nursery.
