Volunteers from the Irvine Korean Parents Association & Volunteer Committee, the American Red Cross Club at UCI, Anteaters’ Habitat for Humanity, National Charity League’s Monarch Chapter, Concordia University, Corona Del Mar High, Portola High, and Newport High assisted at Saturday’s nursery event. Some of the day’s tasks included prepping the kiosk for new wood trim and paint; propagating holiday trees and shrubs; propagating plant liners to one-gallon containers; pruning, organizing, and hand weeding plants; raking leaf debris; and prepping soil mix.
