We had 67 volunteers join us this past weekend, including members of the Irvine Korean Parents Association & Volunteer Committee, UCI Sustainability Resource Center, Pre-Pharmacy Society at UCI, and UCI Chapter of Tau Beta Pi, among other volunteers from UCI, Corona Del Mar High School, and Portola High School, and other individuals. We were busy propagating 2,500 Red Yucca Hesperaloe Parviflora plants, 3,400 Leymus Giant Wild Rye grasses, and 280 Crape Myrtle trees from seeds; placing new weed fabric at tree rows; installing steel channel and T-posts for irrigation; moving newly propagated plants to tables; and pruning and hand weeding throughout the nursery.
